Deputy Nursery Manager

Location: Stoke-On-Trent, ST1, UK
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours (Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6.00pm)
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 27,500 - 30,000 (Depending on experience)

About the Role

Link3 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and inspiring Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership of a thriving nursery in Stoke-On-Trent. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a high-quality early years setting and driving excellence in practice, compliance, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and motivate the nursery team to ensure a positive and high-performing environment.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of care, safety, and early years education across the setting.
  • Oversee staff rotas, training, and the accurate maintenance of child development records.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Confidently deputise for the Manager, ensuring smooth operation of the nursery in their absence.
Key Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in an early years setting with in-depth knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted expectations, and best practice standards.
  • Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (a management qualification or Early Years degree is highly desirable).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational ability, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine passion for early years education and for creating safe, inspiring learning environments.
