At Newlyn School, we are seeking a warm, positive, and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our dedicated early years team. We are looking for someone with a calm and nurturing disposition, paired with an aspirational mindset and a deep commitment to child development through the EYFS curriculum. Someone with a commitment and desire to grow professionally is desirable, always seeking new and innovative teaching strategies to inspire our young learners. The successful candidate will be a flexible and collaborative leader, working closely with the Nursery Manager and wider school staff to ensure that our youngest learners are at the heart of everything we do. You will champion high‑quality early years education, fostering a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can flourish emotionally, socially, and academically.
We are proud of our coastal identity and the unique opportunities it offers our children. Our curriculum is designed to celebrate curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and we are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager who shares our vision for helping every child be the best they can be. If you are an enthusiastic early‑year's leader, or aspiring leader, who values collaboration, innovation, and child‑centred practice, we would love to hear from you.
About you: You will have a child‑centred approach, and will provide creative, inclusive and aspirational lessons to enrich our school curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high‑quality teaching and learning both indoors and outside the classroom. We are seeking a warm, positive and enthusiastic person to join our team that is forward‑thinking and has a real passion for championing all children, irrespective of their starting abilities. A commitment to support the school’s vision for enrichment in personal development opportunities is key, recognising that in order to create well‑rounded children we focus collectively on the academic, social, emotional and holistic development simultaneously.
We are an inclusive and progressive Trust and believe that all children and young people should have the best possible life chances. If you share this belief, we would love you to work with us. We care about our staff and value their skills, contribution and expertise. Our commitment to growing great people means that we support staff in their own professional growth and development and empower them through support and career opportunities. Whether you choose to work in one of our schools, or are based in our central team, you will thrive in a stimulating, friendly and diverse environment that nurtures talent and celebrates success.
