Overview

Are you a compassionate and motivated leader looking for a rewarding role in social care? We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in a residential care home supporting 12 adults with a learning disability. As Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the home, supporting both residents and staff. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, providing leadership, guidance, and hands‑on support to maintain high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day management of the home
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of support staff
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and policies
  • Developing and implementing care plans to meet residents' needs
  • Working a variety of shifts, including alternate weekends
  • Being on‑call as required for the home
Qualifications
  • Experience working with adults with a learning disability in a residential setting
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in a social care environment
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to care
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding policies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it) – Level 5 desirable
Pay and Benefits

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Hours: 42 hours per week (including alternate weekends & varied shifts)

Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks per year
