Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and lone working)
Salary: £35,000 per year

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our children s residential care team in Leyland. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate professional who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home, lead and support staff, and maintain the highest standards of care. The Deputy Manager role is key to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home and staff team.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to deliver outstanding care.
  • Develop and review care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Manage budgets, petty cash, and administrative tasks.
  • Promote safeguarding and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, families, schools, and professionals.
  • Act as Deputy in the Manager s absence and participate in the on-call rota.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years experience in children s residential care.
  • Qualified to or working towards Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.
