Job Title : Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care Homes

Location : Leyland, UK

Hours : Full‑time, 40 hours / week average (shift pattern includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, sleep‑ins & lone working)

Salary : £35,000 per annum

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic residential care provider specialising in therapeutic support for children and young people. They are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to assist the Registered Manager and senior team with the operation of the home, and provide cover across other homes when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily operations of the settled care home and other homes as needed.
  • Create and maintain a safe, homely, professional environment for children / young people.
  • Ensure compliance with government guidance (including Ofsted regulations), local authority standards and the association's policies.
  • Support the aim to achieve / maintain a "Good" or "Outstanding" rating from Ofsted.
  • Support recruitment, induction, training, performance management, shift management, record‑keeping, budget & resource oversight.
  • Work in partnership with children / young people to assess, implement and review individual care plans.
  • Promote equality, diversity, safeguarding and the organisation's core values.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence and participate in on‑call rota.
