Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Working alongside our Home Manager to achieve Jasmine's mission in our home by ensuring all residents receive the highest standards of care and by developing, motivating, and improving the wellbeing of your team.
  • Ensuring care plans for our residential residents are completed within the timescales required by company policy, and that all care plans are evaluated at least once a calendar month.
  • Ensuring all team members are fully competent with medication, completing weekly audits and requesting medication in plenty time. Medication handling must always be carried out correctly, including returning all old medication to the pharmacy each month and booking it in on a timely basis.
Qualifications
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Three years' experience in a Senior Caring role in a residential or nursing home.
  • Experience of writing Person Centred Care Plans.
  • Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
  • Residing within 30 minutes of the Home.
  • Leadership skills and experience of conducting effective person-centred one-to-ones.
  • Medicine Management.
  • Time management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary & Hours

Salary: £18.18ph from 1st January 2026, plus 10% SMART objectives based bonus paid quarterly.

Hours: Full-Time (4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the following, alternate weekends. Supernumerary time).

Location: St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home, Sleaford, NG34 9PL.

About St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home

St Andrew's is located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character, providing the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes while still offering modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.
