Job summary

A leading health service provider in the UK is seeking a Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead with nursing qualifications to support adults with Learning Disabilities. The role involves leadership responsibilities, working in a seven-day service, and developing staff while providing clinical care. Competitive salary range of £39,263 to £47,280 per annum pro rata. Job description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager /Clinical Lead who is a Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse, with experience of working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and a forensic history.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a seven-day service, which includes weekend, nights and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Rowan House offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities who present with behaviours which can challenge. We aim to provide a high quality, person centred approach based on the Positive Behaviour Support model of care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications & Knowledge
  • Registered Nurse (Part 1) - Active NMC Registration
  • Bachelor degree in relevant health related subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults/Children including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
  • Knowledge of quality and service improvement methodologies e.g. Bronze IQT
  • Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC Code
  • Recognised management qualification
  • Understanding of wider nursing and health care related agenda
Experience
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • Experience of working in a multi-professional environment
  • Experience of shift leadership
  • Experience of working with preregistration nursing / midwifery students
  • Experience of formal /informal teaching and of mentoring preregistration nursing or midwifery students.
  • Relevant experience within specialty and able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty
