Job description

Our Park Gate Nursery, part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for a Deputy Manager with a Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years to join our team. You'll be working hard to care for, support, share stories, and have fun to meet the needs of our children.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with effective day-to-day management of the nursery.
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff.
  • Support, supervise, train, and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice.
  • Support the Nursery Manager to identify training needs, develop training plans and evaluate training undertaken by staff.
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in delivering agreed occupancy targets.
  • Maintain effective methods of communication with children, staff, parents, and carers.
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in ensuring that all complaints and concerns are actively resolved in a timely manner and that these are reported to the Regional Manager.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 or above in Early Years qualification.
  • Experience working in an early years setting is desirable.
Working Hours
  • 40 hours across 5 days or 40 hours across 4 days.
