Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
- Ensuring that the statutory framework for the EYFS is met throughout the nursery.
- Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, and keep care plans thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
- Ensure all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Promote respect and credibility for the position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
- Inspire staff with creative ideas and new challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on the EyMan system and on file.
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
- Leadership experience - Essential
- Over 1 year experience of working in Early Years - Essential
- Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
- Over 1 year experience of working in a management position - Desirable
- Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
- Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
