Job summary

Voyage Care in Dinnington, Rotherham, seeks a Deputy Service Manager to lead a residential service, driving person-centred care and team development. The role involves overseeing a dynamic team, implementing care plans, and supporting individuals to gain independence.

The successful candidate will have care management experience, Level 3 Health & Social Care, and experience with autism or complex needs. On-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care management role.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience working with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, trauma and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of colleagues to help people gain more independence in daily life.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans and conduct care needs assessments.
• Recruit and induct new colleagues; complete supervisions and appraisals.
• Complete medication competencies and audits; attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Assist the Registered Manager in day-to-day management and take part in on-call rota.

Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service in Dinnington, Rotherham. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Our Deputy Service Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. You could be developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Deputy Service Managers play a central role in team leadership and have a hands-on approach to care management.

You will also take part in the on-call rota.
