Job description

Job Title:Deputy Manager

Provision:Children's Residential Home

Where will you be based: Lees, Oldham, Greater Manchester

The Service Users:Children aged 7 to 17 with Mild Learning Difficulties and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Working Week and Pay:

  • Hours: 48 hours per week. Note that the Deputy Manager is responsible for the staff rota, including their own shifts. Sleeps maybe required and will be paid in addtion. Weekends may also be required, the is dependent on staffing levels.
  • Salary: £38,600 per annum

What you will need/None-Negotiables:

  • Qualifications:Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
  • Experience:Previous role as a Deputy or Assistant Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in the Residential Child Care sector
  • Fluent in English:Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Other Skills:IT proficient and the desire to learn new skills
  • Understanding of:Safeguarding children, legislation relating to residential childcare, and confidence in supervising care teams
