Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Deputy Manager for Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. You will support the General Manager to operate a compliant, person-centred home providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and visitors.

This role requires at least two years in a similar care-management position, strong leadership, and effective communication. You will oversee staff, manage medication policies, complete monthly audits, and participate in weekly

• Minimum two years' experience in a similar care environment in a management role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; competent in IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are followed and assist with reviews.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and other required reports.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

We're now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Deputy Manager at Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield.

About The Role

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

Other Responsibilities Will Include

• Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.


• Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and support with the reviewing of medication and administration.


• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.


• Completing monthly audits, quality indicator report and any other report as required.


• Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas in the home.

About You

Our Ideal Candidate Must

• Have a minimum of two years' experience working in a similar care environment, in a management position.


• Have excellent leadership and management skills.

• Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
