Job description

Deputy Manager - 2 bed or 4 bedded Children's Residential Home

Location: Stockport

Salary: £35,200 per annum

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Shifts: 3 on 3 off - 12 hour shifts consisting of 10am to 10pm

Opportunity to earn bonus of £400 per month on top of your salary after 2 months of employment.

Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider in Stockport, is recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join their compassionate and expanding team.

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
  • Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
  • Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Be part of the on-call rota and cover shifts when required
Requirements
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
  • Previous experience in a senior or team leader role within a children's residential setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
