Job summary

Kids Planet Rope Green Farm is seeking a Deputy Manager to support daily nursery operations, lead a friendly team, and ensure high standards of care in line with EYFS. You will build strong relationships with families and work with external agencies to support each child’s development.

The role offers accreditation training via KP Academy, enhanced leave, and a competitive salary with benefits. A Level 3 early years qualification and EYFS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK recognised Level 3 early years qualification (e.g., CACHE/NCFE/Level 3 Diploma).
• Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Proven leadership experience within a nursery setting and ability to manage a team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursery manager in day-to-day operations and ensure smooth running of the setting.
• Lead and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years experiences.
• Build warm relationships with families and collaborate with external agencies to support children's development.

How You'll Make a Difference As a Deputy Manager

• Through working alongside the manager to help with all areas of running the nursery, making sure everything runs smoothly day to day.
• By building warm, trusting relationships with families and work together with outside agencies to support each child's growth and wellbeing.
• Guiding and support the nursery team, keeping children safe at all times and bringing the EYFS to life in a way that's fun, engaging, and meets all requirements.

What a Deputy Manager Needs

• Must be at least Level 3 qualified in a UK recognised early years qualification.
• Excellent understanding of EYFS.
• Extensive knowledge of safeguarding children.
• Leadership experience within a nursery setting.
