Salary: Up to £37,000 + bonuses | Ofsted: Good (recent)

Location: On Site (Kempson, Bedfordshire)

Contract: Permanent

Role Overview

We are looking to speak with dependable Deputy Managers to deliver within a small, three-bed EBD home in Hitchin to support its continued stability.

Currently houses two children where one requires 2:1 staffing, and so they're currently at capacity.

The home maintains a calm rhythm and both children are currently settled.

Why this role is available

The role of Deputy Manager is available following the previous postholder's successful progression to Registered Manager. This is an opportunity for someone to step into a home within a supportive culture that also has a clear pathway to leadership.

The ideal person
  • Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 Family Practitioner also considered
  • Not required to have Level 5 but willingness to work towards is encouraged
  • Open to experienced Deputies or strong Seniors/Team Leaders stepping up
Further information
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, broadly 9-5 (occasional flexibility if very short staffed)
