A leading residential care provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Home Manager in the operation of a residential care home. Responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with legislation. A background in Adult Social Care is essential. You will be assisting the Home Manager in the operation of a residential care home. Your duties will include development, implementation and monitoring of individual care plans; assisting with staff supervision and administrative control; and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes of practice and legislation.
The position requires extensive knowledge, including supervisory experience from working in Adult Social Care. You will need to have a professional approach with the ability to organise and prioritise, and a good knowledge of relevant codes of practice and legislation. Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Deputy Manager.

Where will you work? Compton House, near Winchester, is an eleven‑bedroom residential home for residents of varied ages with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who are non‑verbal. Residents are supported with 24‑hour staff and our own in‑house Positive Behaviour Support Team. Like other Choice Care homes, Compton House offers structured activity programmes to support personal development, including ‘LD Club’, ‘Sensory for All’ and cycling, designed to maximise independence and enable everyone to achieve individual goals at their own pace. The home has its own transport for local travel to the shops and leisure centre, as well as for trips further afield.
