About the role

Are you a passionate Deputy Home Manager, with an active NMC pin, motivated and driven to make a difference? Can you combine your exceptional care skills with the commercial acumen needed to manage occupancy levels, care standards and your team in the home?

As Deputy Home Manager, Nursing, you’ll support the Home Manager with the management of the Home. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for

  • rota planning
  • employee recruitment and induction
  • mandatory training
  • ensuring the clinical needs of our residents are recognised, assessed and met where possible
  • monitoring and managing individual employee performance to uphold standards and address issues through the appropriate channels

Fremantle Court in Stoke Mandeville is a multi‑award‑winning and innovative care home, providing a light, modern and spacious living environment with 90 individual en‑suite rooms and a QVC rating of ‘Good’. The beautiful outdoor space invites local wildlife including deer, squirrels and birds which residents can enjoy. Residents also enjoy scenic views of the Chiltern Hills. Our care home has many attractive communal areas, including a coffee shop, cinema and pitch‑and‑putt on‑site along with many other facilities. There are superb community and local transport links with a bus stop outside the entrance, making it easy to travel to and from our Aylesbury care home.

About you

You’ll have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards Level 4 or 5. In addition, you’ll have experience in a senior or team leader nursing role within elderly care with an active NMC PIN. You’ll have previous management experience in a multi‑disciplinary care setting with a willingness to roll your sleeves up and work as a proactive team member, together with some marketing and finance experience to help grow occupancy and manage costs. You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and will be committed to promoting and developing the highest standards of care.
