Job summary

Nova Education Trust is seeking an experienced senior leader to join our executive team in Nottingham. You will hold QTS with NPQH and lead school-wide improvement, safeguarding, and strategic planning to raise standards across the trust.

You will use data to drive decisions, manage behaviour, attendance, and staff development, and build strong partnerships with parents, governors and external agencies. Experience at Deputy Headteacher level is desirable.

Qualifications

• QTS is required; NPQH and additional professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum, assessments and effective teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead behaviour, attendance, and whole-school improvement initiatives.
• Use data to drive school improvement and inform strategic decisions.
• Lead and support staff through performance management and professional development.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment where pupils thrive.
• Ensure safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education compliance.
• Manage resources and budgets to maximise pupil outcomes.
• Build partnerships with parents, governors, external agencies, and other schools.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, delegation, and communication.
