We are seeking an inspirational, value‑led Deputy Headteacher to support our Headteacher in driving excellence. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our school, ensuring that every pupil thrives academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and inclusive environment.

Bearwood Primary School is a vibrant two‑form entry community primary school with an inclusive ethos, located in the heart of Bearwood. Key responsibilities
  • Lead and secure excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum provision across the school
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify priorities for pupils and the school, placing these at the heart of strategic decision‑making
  • Ensure all pupils, regardless of starting point or need, achieve their potential and feel valued as part of the Bearwood community
  • Be the Designated Safeguarding lead, with support from three deputy safeguarding leads, promoting the welfare and safety of all pupils
  • Support the Headteacher in providing strong, effective leadership aligned with the school’s vision and values
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Experience in safeguarding leadership and commitment to pupil welfare
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge staff and pupils to achieve high standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community
