We are seeking an inspirational, value‑led Deputy Headteacher to support our Headteacher in driving excellence. Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure excellence in teaching, learning, and curriculum provision across the school
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify priorities for pupils and the school, placing these at the heart of strategic decision‑making
• Ensure all pupils, regardless of starting point or need, achieve their potential and feel valued as part of the Bearwood community
• Be the Designated Safeguarding lead, with support from three deputy safeguarding leads, promoting the welfare and safety of all pupils
• Support the Headteacher in providing strong, effective leadership aligned with the school’s vision and values

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting
• Strong understanding of curriculum design and effective teaching and learning strategies
• Experience in safeguarding leadership and commitment to pupil welfare
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge staff and pupils to achieve high standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community
• Passionate about inclusion and raising achievement for all pupils
• Committed to promoting positive behaviour and high attendance
• Visionary with a strategic approach to school development
