We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Headteacher to join our dynamic leadership team in Bromley. If you have a proven track record in senior leadership, extensive experience in a similar role, and a deep commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of students, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in our school community.

What were looking for:

  • Significant experience as an Assistant Headteacher or in a similar senior leadership position.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A strong track record in pastoral leadership, with the ability to lead and enhance support systems for students.
  • A deep commitment to the welfare, personal development, and safeguarding of students.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • A collaborative approach to leadership and a proven ability to work closely with senior leaders, teachers, and parents.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement in both student outcomes and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the pastoral care of students, ensuring that systems of support are in place to foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to implement school policies and contribute to whole-school development.
  • Take a strategic approach to student wellbeing, mental health, and behaviour, providing strong guidance to staff and students.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve student engagement, attendance, and achievement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support students.
  • Provide leadership, support, and mentorship to staff, particularly in relation to pastoral responsibilities.
