Blackstone Education are working with an SEN School based in Preston, Lancashire who are looking to recruit an Interim Deputy Headteacher. There is also an opportunity for this position to be temporary to permanent.

The role

As our new Deputy Head Teacher, your role will be to passionately and enthusiastically work closely alongside the Head teacher to deliver the school's strategic vision. You will also lead manage and deputise for the Headteacher on site and off site as and when required as well as occasionally carrying out the professional duties of a class teacher as required.

Key Duties
  • To deputise and undertake overall responsibility for the school in the absence of the Head Teacher and on any other occasions where required.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the school is compliant with all statutory responsibilities and that staff receive the appropriate training and supervision.
