Job summary

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with clear written and oral skills.
- Experience in clinical leadership and supervising staff
- Upper-level Orthoptics expertise and ability to lead in advanced specialities (e.g., Low Vision)
- Experience in Low Vision clinics and Biometry
- Knowledge of clinical governance and service planning
- Proficient with hospital IT systems (ICE, Careflow, ESR)
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Head of Orthoptics in leadership and clinical governance.
- Develop Orthoptic, Optometry, Low Vision and Ophthalmology services across sites.
- Travel between King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and Ashfield Health Village.
- Assist in rota management and incident/complaints investigations.
- Contribute to staff development and performance review.
