A UK health organization located in Cardiff is seeking a Deputy Head of Research Delivery to lead research strategy and manage high-quality health research. Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW) is a research infrastructure funded by the Division of Research & Development, Welsh Government. The R&D Research Delivery Team is led by the R&D Director and Senior Management Team to provide support in the delivery of high-quality health research at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. Part of this service includes an NHS research delivery team employed by NHS organisations to support the delivery of high-quality health and social care studies.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board for a dynamic and forward‑thinking Senior Nurse with extensive experience in research and management. The Deputy Head of Research Delivery will work closely with the Head of Research Delivery, the Director of R&D and the R&D Manager (Senior Management Team) to advise and support the Executive Board in all matters and decisions relating to Research and Development. As part of the Senior Management team the post holder will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of research activity within the UHB, contributing to the performance metrics set for the UHB and specifically leading on Research Delivery performance across the UHB.
The Deputy Head of Research Delivery will work closely with the Head of Research Delivery, the Director of R&D and the R&D Manager (Senior Management Team) to advise and support the Executive Board in all matters and decisions relating to Research and Development.
As part of the Senior Management team the post holder will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of research activity within the UHB and ensuring that robust management and assurance processes are in place to meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
As part of the Research and Development team the post holder will contribute to the efficient set up and delivery of research within the UHB, contributing to the performance metrics set for the UHB.
