Job description
Dulwich College Deputy Head of Mathematics

Dulwich College seeks an outstanding Mathematics teacher to help lead and manage the College's largest's academic department. The Deputy Head of Mathematics will work closely with the Head of Mathematics to shape departmental strategy, advise on curricular issues and lead key organisational areas in the department.

They will also support the work of the department by acting as a reference point for outstanding teaching in Mathematics and the promotion and sharing of the very best practice in this regard.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Deputy Head of Mathematics is coordinating Middle School (Year 9-11) Mathematics, ensuring that all pupils experience an outstanding curriculum, through which challenging Mathematics and high expectations are promoted.

There will also be opportunities to take on responsibility for Upper School (Year 12 and 13) Mathematics, working alongside the Head of Mathematics. This post would be an excellent stepping stone for someone who wanted to go on in the future to lead their own Mathematics department.
