Overview

This is a great time to join The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as the Deputy Head of Capital Projects. We are redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state-of-the-art facility for the residents of Hillingdon and beyond, supporting the best in delivery of healthcare and prepared for the future.

We have a comprehensive and important capital development programme as we move towards the development of a new hospital. This vacancy may close early due to the volume of applications received.

Responsibilities

The role is key to ensuring the effective management of the Trusts Capital programme, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects from inception to completion across all of our hospitals. The post holder will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects to programme within budget and to the right quality standards, and will contribute to shaping, implementing and developing the Trusts Estate Strategy including master planning and strategic options.

As Deputy Head of Capital Projects, you will lead the planning, delivery and management of major capital developments, playing a pivotal role in the transformation of our hospital estate. You will oversee the redevelopment of facilities to create a modern, state-of-the-art environment that supports the delivery of outstanding healthcare for the people of Hillingdon and beyond. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. About The Trust

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trusts services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery in a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

The safety and well-being of patients and staff are paramount. We are making urgent improvements to address infection prevention and control, and are progressing through partnerships with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals and the wider North West London Integrated Care System.
