Location : Cross College / Salisbury Wiltshire

Salary : 40876 rising to 42711 per annum (Deputy Head Grade 1 & 2)

Job Type : Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year)

Deputy Head - Health & Life Sciences The Role

We are seeking a passionate Deputy Head to join our Health & Life Sciences Faculty. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on our students staff and local communities by delivering high-quality industry-relevant education.

As the Deputy Head you will work closely with the Head of Faculty playing a pivotal role in managing and developing our portfolio of courses. Your leadership will be key to ensuring excellence in teaching and learning whilst responding to the ever-changing landscape of the health and life sciences sector.

Deputy Head - Health & Life Sciences Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Faculty in leading and managing the Health & Life Sciences team to deliver excellent outcomes for learners.
  • Leading curriculum development aligning with industry needs and regulatory standards.
  • Mentoring and inspiring a diverse team of academic professionals.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders including the NHS universities and local employers to enhance partnership opportunities.
  • Promoting a culture of innovation inclusivity and continuous improvement.
Deputy Head - Health & Life Sciences You
The ideal candidate will be:
  • A qualified teacher (Level 4 or above) with extensive teaching experience in an appropriate subject area.
  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or possess significant experience in a related area.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum design student engagement and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students staff and external partners.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity inclusion and a student-centered approach.
