We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Theatres, Anaesthetics & Critical Care (CSU) as Deputy General Manager on a 6-month secondment.
The CSU incorporates the following areas, which you will be responsible for supporting.
Working closely with the General Manager and the CSU Triumvirate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of services across the CSU. This includes supporting the achievement of operational targets in access, finance, and quality, while driving service efficiency and patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job
Support the General Manager in achieving all performance targets, developing and implementing sustainable improvements in collaboration with clinical and managerial teams across the organisation.
Lead on the operational delivery of services, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and high-quality patient care.
Drive and manage change initiatives to enhance service provision and meet evolving patient and system needs.
Influence strategic development within the Theatres, Anaesthetics & Critical Care portfolio, working closely with the Clinical Director, General Manager, and Deputy Director of Nursing.
Take responsibility for ensuring the CSU meets all local and national performance objectives and standards.
Oversee the management of key resources--including staff, estates, and budgets--as delegated by the General Manager.

The post holder will be expected to work with minimal supervision and have significant autonomy in the delivery of the above and be responsible for his/her professional actions.
The post holder will hold sole responsibility for a range of duties and services, organising their own workload and working within established policies, procedures and guidelines, as agreed with the General Manager.
