Job summary

Lane7 in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Deputy General Manager to drive performance, culture and guest experience across the venue. You’ll lead from the front, set standards, and build a strong leadership team to maximise sales across all revenue streams.

You’ll work alongside the General Manager to oversee daily operations, staff development, inventory control, and delivering a first-class experience in a multi-facility leisure venue.

Qualifications

• Management experience in leisure, hospitality or F&B preferred.
• Deputy GM capable of leading by example and supervising a team.
• Inspires and motivates teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the General Manager to oversee daily venue operations and improve sales, cost control, beverage supply, labour costs and P&L.
• Manage daily operation of the entire venue, including staff training, development and performance management.
• Be fully accountable for all processes from daily transactions to inventory management.
• Participate in all areas of the operation including gaming, food, beverage, events, sport and labour while maintaining standards.
• Ensure positive guest service and turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
• Create a team-focused environment with a professional, motivating atmosphere.

As our business continues to expand and bring the full throttle best night out in one place experience. We’re now looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager ready to help set the pace, lead from the front and drive this huge venue to its full potential.

The Role

As Deputy General Manager, you’ll have to support with the responsibility for the performance, culture, and success of the site. You’ll lead from the front, setting standards, building a strong leadership team, and delivering an exceptional guest experience across multiple revenue streams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work alongside the General Manager in all areas of the venue and make operational decisions on daily matters of importance, WhilstAdhering to company standards and service levels to increase sales, minimise costs, beverage supply, labour costs and overall P&L
• Managing the daily operation of the entire venue, including the selection, training, development and performance management of all staff
• Be fully accountable for all process and procedures within the business from daily transactions to inventory management
• Actively participate in all areas of the operation from gaming, food, beverage, events, sport and labour whilst maintaining required standards of operation in daily activities
• Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints within the given parameters or escape to the General Manager, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
• Create an environment that is team focused and encourage a professional and motivating atmosphere for all team members

To be a success with Lane7, you’ll:

• Have got management experience in the leisure, hospitality, or F&B sector?
• Be a Deputy General Manager able to lead by example and supervise a team throughout every daily activity.
