Job summary

The Deputy Associate Chief Operating Officer role in the NHS Trust requires deputising for the Associate Chief Operating Officer and providing leadership and management support to the operational managers of the Medicine & Emergency Care group directorates.

The post holder will work with senior clinical and executive colleagues to ensure services meet performance, quality, activity and financial targets while supporting transformation and planning across the Directorate and Care Group as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational performance and financial targets for the Medicine & Emergency Care group directorates.
• Collaborate with Clinical Service Leads, Associate Chief Operating Officer, Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Associate Chief Medical Officer to plan objectives and change management.
• Drive service transformation and respond to changing environments in partnership with commissioning colleagues.

Deputy Associate Chief Operating Officer

Job Purpose: To deputise for the Associate Chief Operating Officer as required. To provide leadership and management support to the operational managers of the Medicine & Emergency Care group directorates. To ensure that the Directorates and their services meet the operational performance, quality, activity and financial targets. To work with the Clinical Service Leads, Associate Chief Operating Officer, Associate Chief Nursing Officer and Associate Chief Medical officer to assist in the planning, objective setting and change management within both the Directorate and the Care Group as a whole. The post holder will be required to proactively engage in service transformation and development, responding to changing environment, working with commissioning colleagues to ensure that the service is fit for purpose and meets the changing needs of the population.
