Job summary

Share Scotland is recruiting a Depute Service Manager to join our service in Gorgie, Edinburgh, where we currently support six people with learning disabilities to live in their own homes within the local community. The role focuses on person-centred support, empowering individuals to shape their own lives, and leading a supportive team.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification or 3+ years' experience, ideally SVQ3 in Social Care, and be willing to pursue SVQ4.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or at least three years’ experience of working with someone with learning disabilities is essential.
• Ideally SVQ3 in Social Care and willingness to work towards SVQ4 within an agreed time frame.
• PVG check and registration with SSSC must be completed within 3 months of employment start.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the service in Gorgie, Edinburgh, supporting six people with learning disabilities to live in their own homes within the local community.
• Promote person-centered support and empower individuals to shape their own lives.
• Oversee staff, ensure PVG checks and SSSC registration within three months, and pursue SVQ4 progression.
