Depute Head Teacher
Echline Primary School

Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £74,154 per year

We are looking for an inspirational and passionate Depute Headteacher to join the leadership team at Echline Primary School. We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader who is committed to improving outcomes for children and leading strategic change with energy, purpose and a strong focus on inclusion and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading improvement across our Nursery to P3, and will bring strong knowledge and experience of early years and First Level. They will have a proven ability to build positive, trusting relationships and work collaboratively with children, staff, families and partners.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the curriculum improvement cycle, raising attainment and using evidence and data to drive improvement. The successful candidate will also have experience of leading and delivering high-quality professional learning and CLPL, supporting staff to develop their practice and build collective capacity.

Above all, we are looking for a strategic, solution-focused and approachable leader who will work alongside the Headteacher and wider SLT to build a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring that every child at Echline is nurtured, inspired and supported to succeed.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
