Salary: Executive and Senior Managers Grade E £96,982 £124,871 per annum (pro rata for part time)

We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic finance leader to join our senior team as Deputy Director of Finance Financial Services, Capital, and Payroll. This is a key executive role at the heart of Scotland’s largest health board.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the post holder will provide strategic and professional leadership across NHSGGC’s Financial Accounting, Capital, and Payroll functions.
You will be responsible for leading the continuous development and improvement of the organisation’s financial services, ensuring that all statutory, regulatory, and professional standards are met across financial accounting, fixed assets, treasury management, endowment accounting, and financial control.
You will be a qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant with substantial post-qualification experience gained in a senior finance leadership role within a large, complex organisation ideally within the NHS or wider public sector.
This is an exciting and high-profile executive appointment within one of the UK’s most complex and dynamic health systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping NHSGGC’s financial strategy, ensuring the Board continues to deliver safe, sustainable, and high-quality healthcare within a robust governance framework.
Your contribution will help ensure that public funds are managed effectively, that value for money is achieved, and that the organisation continues to invest wisely for the future health of its population.
