Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Cullompton is seeking a Depot Manager to oversee daily depot operations and drive revenue through equipment hires and strong customer service. You will lead a team, manage budgets, and ensure high standards of equipment availability and safety compliance.

The role requires proven depot or sales leadership, a commercial mindset, and a full UK driving licence. A company vehicle is included with a competitive salary and bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a depot management, sales management or similar leadership role.
• Strong background in field sales or revenue generation.
• Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and targets.
• Knowledge of plant hire, pump hire or related industries preferred.
• Experience within construction or water infrastructure sectors advantageous.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Based within a commutable distance of Cullompton, Exeter.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the depot.
• Driving revenue growth through hire activity, sales development and customer relationships.
• Managing, motivating and developing depot staff to achieve operational and sales targets.
• Ensuring all equipment is maintained to a high standard and available for hire.
• Overseeing logistics, stock control and compliance with health & safety standards.
• Delivering a high level of customer service to both repeat and new clients.
