Depot Manager

We’re looking for a Depot Manager to take full ownership of our Immingham site, overseeing warehouse operations, distribution, and delivery teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a successful team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure exceptional service for our clients. As Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the site, including operations, people management, safety, and financial control. You’ll ensure that systems and processes run smoothly, meet client SLAs, and deliver on productivity and service goals. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead and manage all depot operations to achieve productivity, service, and financial targets.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and implement cost‑saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with client SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
  • Oversee workforce planning, succession planning, training and development and engagement across the site.
  • Maintain strong communication with senior management and clients, addressing critical issues promptly.
  • Manage warehouse space, equipment, and staffing to meet changing demands.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Support budgeting and financial controls to meet profitability goals.
About You
  • Extensive experience in logistics, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
  • Proven track record in a supervisory or management role.
  • Previous financial experience, managing own P&L.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WMS systems.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends when required.
