Job summary

ICE, the UK\'s largest independent provider of cleaning equipment, invites you to join as a Solutions Deployment Specialist. You will install, configure and support cutting-edge cleaning technology at customer sites, travelling within your local region with occasional longer journeys.

A company van is provided to enable on-site deployments and hands-on training. You will work with robots and smart cleaning solutions, ensuring smooth deployments, customer handovers and effective operator

Qualifications

• Qualification in Engineering/Robotics/Mechatronics/Electronics/IT or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on technical skills with equipment and installations.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission advanced cleaning equipment and robotic solutions.
• Deliver on-site equipment trials and handovers to customers.
• Train operators and management teams to use equipment safely and effectively.
• Create site plans and optimise machine routes for efficiency.
• Diagnose hardware, software and connectivity issues on customer sites.
• Provide first and second-line technical support during deployments.
• Analyse performance and advise on improvements.
• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance checks.
• Support concept projects with testing such as ATP and gloss meters.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and internal teams to resolve issues.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Solutions Deployment Specialist to install, configure, optimise and support cutting-edge cleaning technology at customer sites.

This is a remote, field-based role where you'll travel to customer sites within your local region, with occasional travel further afield when required. You'll be provided with a fully equipped company van, giving you everything you need to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Solutions Deployment Specialist, you'll be the face of ICE during customer installations, ensuring every deployment is smooth, successful and delivers real value.

• Install, configure and commission advanced cleaning equipment and robotic solutions
• Deliver on-site equipment trials, demonstrations and customer handovers
• Train operators, supervisors and management teams to use equipment safely and effectively
• Create site maps and optimise machine routes for maximum efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Provide first and second-line technical support on customer sites
• Analyse machine performance and recommend improvements
• Carry out routine machine inspections and maintenance checks
• Support proof-of-concept projects with ATP and gloss meter testing
• Work closely with manufacturers and internal technical teams to resolve complex issues

Requirements

What we're looking for: We're looking for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with outstanding customer service.

• A qualification (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, IT or a related discipline
• Strong hands-on technical skills and confidence working with equipment
• Excellent communication and training skills
• A proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Good physical fitness for installations and equipment handling
• A full UK driving licence (essential)
