Job summary

Dexory in Wallingford is seeking a Deployment Engineer to deliver our autonomous data platform to customers across Europe. You will lead hardware and software deployments, working closely with commercial and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and installation.

This UK-based role requires travel of 1–2 weeks per project; when not traveling you will be onsite in Wallingford, supporting clients, documenting processes, and helping to optimize deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to debug complex hardware and software integration on customer sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment and installation of hardware and software platforms at customer sites.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule installations, covering mechanical, electrical, software, and network components.
• Perform on-site setup, calibration, and troubleshooting per project specs.
• Create and maintain installation and troubleshooting documentation for customers and teams.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers to resolve issues and ensure deployment success.
• Travel to Europe for 1-2 week deployments as required; on-site in Wallingford when not traveling.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Deployment Engineer to join our dedicated international team. As an experienced (UK based) Deployment Engineer you will play an integral role in delivering our products to clients, collaborating closely with the commercial and engineering teams to ensure a seamless sales, integration, and deployment process. This position requires a highly organised and technically proficient individual with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The crux of the role will involve travel around Europe to deploy our robots within warehouse sites. It is crucial you are able to travel for 1-2 weeks at a time.

Please note: When not travelling, you will be expected to be onsite at our Wallingford location

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehensive technical understanding of computer systems, with prior experience in autonomous hardware systems or computer vision applications preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience with hardware in operational environments, including system assembly, disassembly, and on-site debugging.
• Serve as the primary customer contact for the deployment and installation of hardware and software platforms.
• Coordinate with customers to plan and schedule installations, incorporating mechanical, electrical, software, and network components.
• Conduct on-site visits to execute system setup, configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting in accordance with project specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and update installation, deployment, operational, and troubleshooting documentation for both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication with customers to resolve technical issues and ensure successful completion of deployment activities.

• Strong software debugging and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to address technical challenges effectively on customer premises.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
• Valid driving license required.
