We are excited to be recruiting a full-time Dental Receptionist to join our team at Ythan Bridge Dental Centre in Ellon for a maternity cover role.

Ythan Bridge Dental Centre is a progressive dental practice located in the heart of the busy Aberdeenshire market town of Ellon. We offer a range of dental treatments for children and adults, all centered around enabling you to maintain your oral health.

Our four modern, fully equipped surgery practice offers NHS, private and cosmetic treatments including: facial aesthetics, tooth whitening, hygiene treatment, dental implants (including CHROME GuidedSMILE) and clear aligners. We use the latest technology to give our clinicians the best achievable results and patients the most comfortable and rewarding experience. We have a team of fully qualified and experienced nurses.

There is free parking at the practice and it is close to the bus stop. In the area there are many cafes/shops nearby and the practice looks out over to the river which is lovely for a walk at lunchtime.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing a professional reception service and ensuring excellent patient care in line with our practice values. In addition, you will play an important role in ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidance.

Other duties include –

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges

• Maintaining practice reception cleanliness standards to ensure the patient has confidence in the quality of the care they will receive
• Managing the appointment book for all clinicians to ensure surgery utilisation and clinician productivity while meeting patient appointment needs

About You

• Relevant experience gained in a general practice environment is desirable
• Proven track record in a customer/patient focused reception environment is required
• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
• The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
