Chalkwell Dental Practice in Southend-On-Sea is seeking a friendly Dental Nurse to join our modern private clinic.

You will provide chairside support, assist clinicians, maintain instruments, and help deliver high standards of patient care in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a Dental Nurse is required.
• Experience in a dental practice is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, caring and professional approach to patient care.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence providing chairside support to clinicians.
• Good understanding of infection prevention and control procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
• Commitment to maintaining high clinical and professional standards.
• Experience in private dentistry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality chairside assistance to clinicians.
• Preparing surgeries and ensuring equipment and materials are ready for treatment.
• Supporting clinicians across a range of dental procedures.
• Welcoming and reassuring patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and patient documentation.
• Carrying out infection prevention and control procedures.
• Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
• Ensuring surgeries are clean, well organised and appropriately stocked.
• Supporting the smooth running of the practice and clinical sessions.
• Working collaboratively with the wider dental team.
• Providing a professional and caring experience for every patient.
• Supporting the practice in maintaining high standards of compliance, health and safety and patient care.
