Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Bank Band 4 Dental Nurse to support the Oral, Maxillofacial and Orthodontic outpatient department. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of care, assisting clinicians across clinics and ensuring safety and efficiency in a busy environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist clinicians with procedures from orthodontics to oral surgery, including wisdom teeth removal.
• Prepare and organise the assigned clinic to ensure smooth running.
• Identify patients' medical and dental needs before, during and after treatment.
• Reassure patients and explain procedures; monitor them until discharge.
• Act as scrub/circulating nurse, mix dental materials and hold instruments for clinicians.
• Prepare surgical trolleys aseptically using appropriate technique.
• Utilise manual dexterity to assemble micro drills, burs and orthodontic equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with infection prevention policies.
• Label, sterilise and dispatch study models and impressions to the laboratory.
• Maintain an efficient library of study models and knowledge of dental equipment.
• Handle hazards daily (radiation, sharps, chemicals, spills, etc.).
