Job summary

Apprentice Dental Nurse position in a friendly private practice in the UK. No previous experience required; full training, mentoring and support will be provided throughout your development.

The role focuses on patient care, assisting dentists, and learning essential dental nursing skills. You will gain Dental Nurse (Integrated) Level 3 training, build confidence on the job, and explore future progression into lead nurse, practice manager, or specialised dental nursing areas.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • No prior experience required; full training, mentoring and support provided.
  • Ambition to pursue a career in dentistry and dental nursing.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists and clinicians during dental treatments and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure equipment is ready for use.
  • Clean, sterilise and maintain instruments according to infection control standards.
  • Update patient records accurately using computer systems.
  • Support patients with pre- and post-treatment guidance and reassurance.

BL9 0EG. We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive dental team. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a rewarding career in dentistry. No previous experience is required full training, mentoring, and support will be provided throughout your development.

Qualifications Required

Potential apprentices must have GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists and clinicians during a range of dental treatments and procedures
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and reassured throughout their visit
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and materials are ready for use
  • Clean, sterilise, and maintain instruments in line with infection control standards
  • Follow health, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times
  • Support patients with pre and post treatment guidance
  • Accurately update patient records using computer‑based systems
  • Help manage appointment flow and support the smooth running of the practice
  • Assist with basic administrative duties as required
