Skills4Dental in Hoddesdon is offering an Apprenticeship as a Dental Nurse. You will receive full training and mentoring to become a qualified Dental Nurse in a friendly private practice. No prior experience required, and you’ll gain hands-on experience from day one in a patient-facing role.

The programme provides on-the-job learning with a supportive team, clear progression pathways into lead nurse, practice manager and other dental specialities as you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a dental setting.
• Enthusiasm for patient care and data confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and clinicians during a range of dental treatments and procedures.
• Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed and reassured throughout their visit.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and materials are ready for use.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain instruments in line with infection control standards.
• Follow health, safety and confidentiality policies at all times.
• Support patients with pre and post treatment guidance.
• Accurately update patient records using computer-based systems.
• Help manage appointment flow and support the smooth running of the practice.
• Assist with basic administrative duties as required.
