PortmanDentex Portman Smile Clinic in Truro is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our modern, patient‑focused orthodontic practice.

You will support a 4-surgery clinic, work with specialist orthodontists and therapists, and provide care for NHS and private patients. We offer training, career development, and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is required and active.
• Recognised Dental Nursing qualification is essential.
• Orthodontic experience is helpful but training will be provided.
• Strong communication and empathy are important.

Responsibilities

• Provide dental nursing support in an orthodontic setting.
• Assist during NHS and private patient procedures.
• Work in a 4-surgery clinic with orthodontists and therapists.
• Participate in nurse-led clinics within your scope of practice.

• Typical shifts:Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 0800-1700 (ad hoc holiday/sickness/ Saturday cover)
• Competitive hourly rate from: £13.70
• 4-surgery, specialist Orthodontic practice,caring for both NHS and private patients
• Modern and well-equipped surgeries,working alongside Specialist Orthodontists and Therapists
• Opportunity to work independently within ournurse-led clinics, and fully within your scope of practice
• Parking available

About you

We’d love to receive your application to our Dental Nurse vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:

• A recognised Dental Nursing qualification and active GDC registration
• A caring and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills
• A team player who thrives on providing great service and building relationships with colleagues and patients
• Orthodontic experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
