Bupa Dental Care Downend in North Bristol is seeking a Dental Hygienist on a fixed-term, self-employed basis from 2 October 2026 to 27 February 2027. The role is Fridays 9am–5pm with an established patient list and strong clinical support.
Join a six-surgery practice with potential for more days as the book grows, access to in-house CPD and a network of practices. You’ll benefit from a stable revenue stream through private pricing and opportunities to treat insurance patients.
We’re looking for a Dental Hygienist to partner with us on a fixed term self-employed basis at our established Bupa Dental Care practice in Downend, Bristol. This role will be for a fixed term from 2nd October 2026 until 27th February 2027.
We are a 6 surgery practice offering implants, Invisalign, and have a long-standing team of 9 dentists. We are looking to have an extension offering a 7th surgery so the position has the potential to offer further days when a book has been built up. We also have a hygienist at the practice and a dedicated support team.
Downend is in North Bristol, close to the M4 and M32, and is easily commutable from Bath and Gloucester, yet still only five miles from the centre of Bristol.
Our practice offers Bupa Smile Plan - a payment plan that allows patients to spread the cost of their routine preventive dentistry throughout the year. This enables our patients to budget for their dental care and encourages regular attendance helping to maintain their oral health. For you it means a more stable revenue stream from a loyal patient base with absolutely no fees or admin costs - you get paid for the services you offer in line with private pricing.
Partnering with Bupa also means the unique opportunity to provide dental treatment to our insurance customers, improving your revenue streams and growing any private work you wish to undertake.
As the only corporate dental provider in the UK not backed by private equity, we’re in a unique position. We’re committed to the UK dental industry for the long-term – both private and NHS – and are ready to treat not just today’s patients, but generations to come.
Furthermore, as a limited liability company Bupa has no shareholders, so we’re able to focus 100% on delivering a great service for our customers. We are run commercially to ensure we remain competitive, but Bupa reinvests 100% of its profits to help provide better care for patients across the world.
