Job summary

Bupa Dental St Ives is seeking a Dental Assistant to support safe, high-quality patient care on a part-time basis. Role 1 covers Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:45 AM to 5:45 PM, Role 2 covers Thursday and Friday, same hours. You will assist chair-side, help with X-rays, and maintain infection control, keeping rooms clean and ready for patients.

Experience is preferred but a willingness to learn is welcomed. Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is appreciated but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant or willingness to learn; Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with infection control standards, BDC procedures, and WHS requirements.
• Organisational and administrative skills to support appointment scheduling, with a reliable, accountable approach to work and service quality standards.

The purpose of this job is.

To support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The Dental Assistant assists with clinical procedures, maintains infection control standards, ensures equipment is properly sterilised, and keeps treatment rooms clean, organised, and ready for patient care.
