Job summary

HCD Ltd seeks an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager to lead delivery of complex UK demolition projects. You will manage contracts from award to completion, ensuring safety, quality and programme compliance while coordinating with site teams, subcontractors and clients.

The role requires strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills, with a firm understanding of demolition methodologies and commercial constraints. A Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the demolition industry.
• Strong technical understanding of demolition methodologies, sequencing, temporary works, plant and equipment.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple demolition projects from pre-start through to successful completion.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements associated with demolition works.
• Excellent leadership, planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good commercial awareness, with an understanding of project costs, variations, programme and contractual obligations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent HCD professionally with clients and other stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant construction/project management systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery to programme and budget.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and clients to meet safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Develop and monitor project plans, programmes and risks, enabling proactive mitigation.
• Maintain strong client relationships and clear communication across stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and procedures.
