Job summary

Sodexo Group in London is seeking a Demi Chef De Partie to join a busy kitchen. You will cook and present high-quality dishes, manage your section, and support the Head Chef to maintain top standards of food safety and presentation.

You'll contribute to menu development, work in a fast-paced environment, and help deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding Sodexo's culinary excellence and service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar high-volume cooking role.
• Professional cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation.

• Prepare, cook and present fresh, high-quality dishes.
• Take ownership of your designated kitchen section.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.

• Monday to Friday - Alternating weekly shifts and early finish Fridays


• Week 1: 7:00am - 3:15pm Week 2: 12:00pm - 8:15pm


• £15.15 per hour

What you'll do:

• Prepare, cook and present fresh, high-quality dishes


• Take ownership of your designated kitchen section


• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations


• Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards


• Assist with menu development and seasonal food offers


• Check deliveries, record temperatures and store stock correctly


• Monitor food quality, freshness and stock rotation


• Minimise food waste and support sustainability initiatives


• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen


• Complete food safety, HACCP and temperature records


• Support hospitality events and special functions


• Mentor and support junior members of the kitchen team


• Deliver outstanding customer service


• Follow all food safety, health & safety and company procedures

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar high volume cooking role


• Professional cookery qualification or equivalent experience


• Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation


• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene legislation


• Passion for producing exceptional food


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
