Job summary

Alzheimer's Research UK is seeking an Involvement & Engagement Officer to deliver the patient and public involvement strategy. You will coordinate the Lived Experience Involvement Group, arrange meetings, and support engagement activities across dementia research initiatives.

You will work with the Involvement & Engagement Manager to develop guidance, train staff, and promote best practice while collaborating with researchers and fundraising colleagues to embed involvement in projects.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating patient and public involvement.
• Ability to develop and deliver training on engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Implement ARUK’s public involvement and engagement strategy.
• Plan and deliver the work of the Lived Experience Involvement Group, including liaising with members and providing dementia specific assistance.
• Facilitate involvement activities, including plans, briefs, and sessions, and share insights with colleagues.
• Support recruitment of new lived experience representatives with a focus on diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain accurate records relating to involvement activity in line with policies.
• Develop and deliver training on engagement for colleagues and researchers.
