Job summary

THG is seeking a Demand Planner for THG Labs in Trowbridge to own forecasting for a portfolio of customers. You will build multi-horizon demand forecasts, lead planning with sales teams, and maintain KPI dashboards for the monthly S&OP process.

Ideal candidates have experience in Demand Planning or similar analytical roles, strong Excel and ERP/Power BI skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to improve forecasting accuracy across FMCG products.

Qualifications

• Experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain or a similar analytical role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience using forecasting, planning or ERP systems.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Logical and proactive problem-solver.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
• Interest in leveraging AI and technology to drive process improvements.
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, retail or consumer goods.
• Exposure to S&OP processes.
• Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and KPI reporting.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Lead the planning process with the customers to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Prepare the Demand Dashboard, including Revenue and KPI performance for the monthly S&OP Process
• Provide insight to support the product lifecycle for new products, and product phase-outs.
• Use and maintain the Demand Planning software, enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy, monitor trends in forecast error
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
• Interact with our sales and product teams and to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues and managers.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety for yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work
• To cooperate with regards to all company health & safety measures, following H&S training when using equipment
• Report to a person in authority any work situation which may represent a serious or imminent danger to health & safety or any shortcomings in the protection arrangements to health & safety. In respect of any hazards remember ‘see it, report it’
• Helping to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company.
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time.

About the Demand team and the Role

The Demand Team is a core part of the Commercial Team at THG Labs and is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Creating, and maintaining forecast models for the S&OP process incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, customers, and other sources.

Reporting to Demand Planning Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for managing the forecasting and demand planning for a portfolio of customers. Specific role requirements

As a Demand Planner you will:
