Demand Forecast Manager

Location: South Derbyshire (Hybrid)

Salary: up to £65k

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

SF Recruitment are working with a Manufacturing business who are seeking a strategic and analytical Demand Forecasting Manager to lead their Demand Planning team, ensuring stock availability meets business requirements and driving improvements in demand and inventory planning strategies. This role also ensures accurate inputs for the demand, supply, and financial streams of the S&OP cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Demand Planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee demand planning processes, including forecasting, demand shaping, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to ensure accurate S&OP outputs.
  • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and historical data to generate actionable insights.
  • Optimise supply chain operations, identify risks, and improve efficiency in collaboration with the Supply Chain team.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs, implementing corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in demand forecasting and the S&OP process.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic understanding of Power Query.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIPS and/or CSCD desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to influence at all levels of the business.
