Why work for Baxi?

Baxi is a heritage heating and hot water solutions provider with big ambitions to change the way we think about and use energy. We’re focussed on driving the conversations and spearheading the change that will enable us to make this happen. We have some of the best-known and trusted heating and hot water brands for residential and commercial customers including Baxi, Main, Megaflo, Remeha, Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton Commercial, Heatrae Sadia and Packaged Plant Solutions.

About the Role

The Commercial Demand Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand plans, forecasts, and statistical models that align with sales targets, customer needs, market trends, and production capacity.
  • Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with sales, marketing, finance, production, and logistics teams to ensure that all information is used to develop accurate and achievable demand plans.
  • Co-ordinate forecasts between customers and sales teams to ensure that all demand signals are captured and used in the demand planning process.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast for planned customer promotions and new product launches, helping manage product life cycles, and ensure product availability.
  • Analyse historical data, trends, and market intelligence to identify potential demand risks and opportunities, and provide regular reports to the management team to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure that the demand plan is integrated into the overall business plan – in the first instance, help design, develop and implement this process, bringing the Sales Organisation on the journey to 95% OTIF
  • Analyse demand patterns and provide input to the S&OP process to support the development of master production schedules and inventory strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels that meet customer demands and minimize stockouts, backorders, and write-offs.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure demand planning effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, to include forecast accuracy of the Sales Organisation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field or demonstrable experience in a multi-site, multi-channel, multi customer, commercially driven business
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in demand planning and coordination, preferably in a complex supply chain environment.
  • Excellent analytical, forecasting, and modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other demand planning tools.
  • Strong communication, motivational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • High level of attention to detail with excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to “bring other with them”
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
